It goes without saying that Health and Safety is paramount. We acknowledge that our people are what make the firm special, so it is incumbent upon us to ensure their safety. We strive at all times to in still a culture of care and safe practices and this stretches beyond the workplace.

In locations where we are partners of influence, we engage with clients’ and contractors’ employees to promote awareness of the need to be vigilant and of the need for comprehensive workplace Health and Safety rules, and compliance. Indeed, as consultants, part of our role is to create an environment where safety, protection and the well-being of employees, clients, communities and the environment are major priorities.

Work sites can be hazardous places for the unsuspecting, and we have in place a rigorous set of standards to eliminate health and safety risks so far as is reasonably practicable, and if it is not reasonably practicable to do so, to minimize those risks so far as is realistically possible.

Our Core Health and Safety Philosophy Are Encapsulated in The Following
  • We will manage or control the workplace or fixtures, fittings or plant at the workplace.
  • We will design, manufacture, import or supply plant, substances or structures for use at a workplace that meet the highest health and safety standards.
  • We will install, construct or commission plant or structures at a workplace in accordance with applicable safety standards.
  • All reasonably practicable steps will be taken to protect people from harm taking into account and weighing up all relevant matters, including:
  • The likelihood of a hazard or risk occurring
  • The degree of harm that might result from the hazard or risk
  • Knowledge about the hazard or risk, and ways of eliminating or minimizing the risk
  • The availability and suitability of ways to eliminate or minimize the risk, and after assessing the extent of the risk and the available ways of eliminating or minimizing the risk, the cost associated with available ways of eliminating or minimizing the risk, including whether the cost is grossly disproportionate to the risk.
